Parengamihi Gardiner

This is a story of the life of Parengamihi and her sisters Iwingaro and Ihipera. With all three kuia over the age of 79 they have lost, loved, and lived through changes many cannot comprehend. They not only carry important whakapapa but they remain to be some of the last native speakers of their family and their iwi. We capture these stunning kuia as they prepare for the celebration of the year. Mihi's 80th birthday.
