Reference NumberPhoto 03-213DescriptionMr. E. G. Ware at the counter of his chemist's shop, 54 Devonport Road in the 1940s. Ware arrived in Tauranga from Te Kūiti in 1939, and bought the business from Mr Wrigley. He redesigned the interior of his pharmacy and built all the fittings himself including three 8ft 6in plywood counter cases with round ends and wall cases for 40 pounds including tools.
