Reference NumberPhoto 05-318DescriptionJohn Mowlem's bach on Mayor Island, with members of the Tauranga Big Game Fishing Club, c 1940s. Woman is probably Miss Lantz. Among Mowlem photos taken from Mavis Stanton's album. The older photos were rescued from the album belonging to Miss Philomena Lantz, John Mowlem's housekeeper. Mavis Stanton was renting rooms with her daughter Val in the Mowlem house in Devonport Road (see 02-338). She was a cook on Mayor Island during the 1960s and 70s.
