Original Tauranga Memories note from Richard Fenn: Catherine (Rene) Fenn my mother was born at St Mary's Salvation Army Hospital in Auckland on 28 March 1911. She lived at Waiotahi in the Ōpōtiki district until she was 16 years of age and then went to live in Rotorua. Mum shifted to Tauranga and married dad in 1939 and she worked in the shop with my father for many years, she died 30 August 2008 age 97 year.
