Reference NumberPhoto 15-057DescriptionAcknowledgement Elizabeth Rust. Postcard once belonging to Irishman Robert Long who was captured in Gallipoli, spending years as a Turksih prisoner of war. Handwritten on reverse "Bilemelilk(sp?) Nov 1918". Elizabeth Rust came into the Tauranga City Library during the 'Threads of Memory' project to tell us about her Irish relative who was captured by the Turks at Suvla Bay.
