Flooding at the Village Jan 1, 2012

Date2012DescriptionHeavy rain on New Years Day 2012 flooded the Western end of 17th Avenue including parts of the Historic Village._x005F_x000D__x000D_
Three of the Village tenants premises and the Village TECT Theatre were flooded._x005F_x000D__x000D_
Flooding measures were in place however a log jammed the backflow gates open allowing watres to spill into 17th Avenue at high tide._x005F_x000D__x000D_
Tauranga City Council are investigating ways to prevent the problem happening again._x000D_
