Published in City views : news from the Tauranga District Council Issue 29, August/September 2001 in the Past v Present feature.
Contrasted with a more recent aerial view of Dive Crescent when the cliff side was still occupied by commercial and storage buildings, rather than the carparks installed in 2023-24.
The text goes into some detail about the selection of the railway route, which led to a cutting separating the Mission cemetery from The Elms (former Te Papa Mission Station), and the resulting fill being used for the reclamation. Notes that Dive Crescent is named for Bradshaw Dive, Tauranga mayor (1919-1929) when the rail link was built.
