The Welcome Bay Settlers Association Incorporated was established to promote the progress, prosperity, welfare, education and social life of the Welcome Bay district and surrounding areas. Its rules allowed it to represent local interests, support or oppose legislation, cooperate with other bodies, acquire or lease property, borrow and invest funds, provide rooms, information and accommodation for members or visitors, and run educational or social activities.
