SummaryFarmer at Te Puna. Born there in 1856, son of Louis Antoine Bidois and Irihāpeti Kaumoana. Educated at Bishop Pompallier’s school at Takapuna and the Catholic mission school at Rangiaowhia before returning to Te Puna in 1866. Married Pauline (Pōrina) Faulkner, granddaughter of Tauranga trader John Lees Faulkner and Ruawahine of Ngāi Tūkairangi, Ngāi Te Rangi. Their children included policeman Louis Hekenui Bidois.
