Janice Giles.
“Each person treads their own unique path, and each personal life map is different,” says Janice, “however, the territories of experience and development tend to echo universal themes that can be navigated.”
Paintings in Janice’s pending solo exhibition at Creative Tauranga Community Gallery, ‘A Brush with Meaning’, include evocative images that invite the viewer to reflect on what the works mean for them, and to consider the potential of dialogue and an evolving relationships with the works.
Janice believes that “the meaning we make of an image deepens as we, and our way of making sense of what we see, shifts and changes over our lifespan”.
Recent works include: ‘Seeker in Shadowland' (pictured right) and ‘Eve has Serious Questions about her Navel’.
