The unit recorded 66 interviews in three years. This recording of notes written by Mr Stanley Deverell is one of these. The notes are read by Graham Burkett. At the time of recording Stan lived in Greerton.
Stanley Deverell was born in Waihi 1906. He was the son of Henry T. Deverell and Maryann nee Sedwell and grew up in Waihi where he was a mechanic. He married Bertha Vaughan. He also lived in Tauranga and could remember when travel to Auckland was by steamer.
