Marion Watson Stewart visited her sister, Mrs W. P. Bell of Tauranga in 1931 and stayed in New Zealand. She established the successful Cheriton Poultry Farm and was active in the poultry industry and many local organisations including the Tauranga Hospital Board and the Plunket Society.
