Tauranga Registered Poultry Keepers Association was founded 2 May 1935. On 7 July they changed name to the Bay of Plenty Registered Poultry Keepers' Association, then in March 1960 to Tauranga Poultry Club, then later to Tauranga Poultry Farmers' Association.
