Celia is seated in an armchair dressed in a dark gown and a white cap, with a ball of wool in her lap, knitting. On the back of the card is a blue 'A.N. Brown Collection Sticker'. 10/12/2009: frame for picture was found when cataloguing items in the Volkner Cottage. The easel frame has a bevelled glass front with a mirror border painted onto the underside, and a card backing covered with black paper. There is a metal clasp at the top of the backing board that releases the glass so that the picture can be removed. Part a photograph, part b frame.Physical DescriptionArt.
