Wrapped around the photograph is a note written in the hand of Miss. G. Nevell. The note identifies the man as Robert Jefferies, her Great Grandfather. Printed in red, on the card border below the photograph is: "E.W. DYER - TROWBRIDGE", and on the back of the card: "PHOTOGRAPHED BY - F.W. DYER - TROWBRIDGE". Written in black ink on the back of the card is: "Robert Jefferies".. Although not recorded in The Elms Trust receipt book, it is likely this item was donated by Miss. G. Nevell the Grand daughter of Captain William Nevell, as a note accompanying the daguerreotype is written in her hand.Physical DescriptionDocumentary Artifact. Carte-de-visite.
