Prior to The Past and the Curious, Tauranga Library ran sessions open to the public that provided opportunity to see and learn about items within the archives. These were variously named The Friday Fossick, Monday Musings and no doubt other names lost to our collective memory. In 2020 the team decided to change the name to The Past and the Curious.
