So, after 21 years, what of the Festival Record. The policy has been to press as collectors item, a small number of L.P. discs, containing the best track from each groups performance, and if possible, a balance between trad, mainstream, and the new sounds in Jazz…with some 1,000 musicians performing, two concert stages, and some twenty-four hours of music, the choice of tracks for a fifty minute L.P. disc is quite a problem….should the future policy be to try to foster N.Z. Jazz…"
