Rough translation of pānui contained in box 469 re land issues in Katikati area: ‘All Māori people of the tribes of the area of Tauranga to Katikati, wanting to express a response to them for that land, we should meet at Katikati on Wednesday 20th of June 1886; to look carefully at their proposal for that area. In the event that the fair and just transaction of money of the person to the land to give money at that time. In the event that a person does not attend the hui, the thought will be to turn over the korero to the Government and his payment.
