Scenes at Mount Maunganui in 1963, shot by Mr Stanley R. Bryant (two reels). At the time Mr Bryant was manager of the Kerridge Odeon cinema at Mount Maunganui. He had previously worked in Pinewood Studios, London. His widow, Mrs Jocelyn Bryant donated the two reels to Tauranga City Libraries in 2009.

It was originally thought that one reel was visual and the other a soundtrack but they both appear to be black and white silent 16mm reels with similar though not entirely identical footage. This reel shows considerable experimentation with camera angles and locations and includes portions shot upside down as well as several 'works in progress' for an opening title (Zeal Films), closing title, section titles, transitions etc. The date 1963 comes from a billboard advertising "The Courtship of Eddie's Father" released in New Zealand in 1963.
