Ams 396/21/2: Presentation folder with general Elms information. Cover has Emma Vogan watercolour of The Elms on black paper, ‘The Elms Foundation Dr Joy Drayton’ in gold pen, silver braid tie fastening.
Ams 396/21/3: The Elms, miscellaneous: includes draft collection policy, 2005; funding applications; guides list, 2006; correspondence; notes for library presentations, in Joy’s hand; notes for timeline, ditto; plan of Baycourt’s dimensions (for exhibition of textiles in 2005).
Ams 396/21/4: The Elms, issues: storage of collections, buildings on site, etc.
Ams 396/21/5: The Elms, issues: reports, conservation planning, meeting notes, volunteer training, Kemp House emergency plan, etc.
Ams 396/21/6: The Elms Antique Clothing Catalogue and related notes. The collection now known as The Elms Textile Collection was formerly divided into the Antique Clothing Collection and the Lace Collection.
Ams 396/21/7: The Elms Textile Collection: report from conservator Rangi Te Kanawa, lists of items in collection, calculations for space needed for collection, partnership contract with Te Papa National Services, information about collection storage, etc.
Ams 396/21/8: ‘A Meeting of Cultures’ exhibition, March 2007: an exhibition of treasures from The Elms was held at Hotel Devonport. It is fair to say that Joy was the driving force behind the exhibition and she was certainly one of the main organisers.
