Barbara shared her memories of going to school, which included going home for lunch, playing pegball and bullrush, and enjoying social studies. She also talked about how they used to get cups of cocoa in the winter, and how they had to stitch their names on their white caps for the sewing class. Barbara remembered a teacher who was pregnant and wore a maternity top. The interview ended with Barbara recalling the time when they went to Tauranga Primary School for cooking and woodwork classes, which they reached by boat.
