Back then, the school had only two buildings and play areas consisted of open spaces. The school bell system was strict, and punishments included writing lines. Boys made their own hockey sticks from local bush, while basketball was played with the girls under strict supervision. Most students were barefoot, and transportation to school included walking, taxis, and horseback. Weekends and holidays were spent engaging in outdoor activities such as fishing and swimming.
